Acrylic Art

(2018)

These experimental artworks presents a compelling fusion of traditional and contemporary techniques, with acrylic as the primary medium. Employing screen printing alongside precision laser cutting, the piece skillfully manipulates the acrylic surface to bring intricate detail and texture. The design is inspired by a blend of cultural influences: a modern interpretation of Alpana, the intricate traditional Bengali folk art, and Islamic geometric patterns, celebrated for their mathematical precision and symmetry. This fusion creates a striking visual dialogue between cultural heritage and modern artistic innovation. The laser-cut sections allow light to pass through, adding depth and movement, inviting viewers to experience continuously shifting perspectives as they engage with the piece from different angles.
